What is the governance model and how are decisions made?

DeepNode governance is token-based, with $DN holders voting on proposals. Stakers, Backers, Validators, and Domain Architects all participate, weighted by stake and reputation. Proposals may cover protocol changes, economic parameters, or subnet policies. Decisions are executed on-chain for transparency.

What roles do Validators and Domain Architects play in governance?

• Validators influence governance by providing trusted input on model and node quality. Their reputation impacts how their votes are weighted.

• Domain Architects govern their own domains semi-autonomously, setting rules, rewards, and priorities, while still participating in global DeepNode governance. This creates a balance of local subnet autonomy and network-wide coordination.

How are emergency patches and rollbacks handled?

If critical vulnerabilities or failures occur, governance enables emergency patching through a multi-signature controlled by trusted maintainers. This allows quick fixes while avoiding centralization. When necessary, rollbacks can restore the system to the last safe state. Once stabilized, governance votes on permanent solutions.
